In 2022, the first GIADA Academy, debuted at Rosewood Hotel, Beijing on January 8th. The intent of establishing the Academy was inspired by the Renaissance, taking the humanistic spirit of the period as its core and focusing on topics of art and beauty. The event program focuses on promoting art education and feminine power, exploring women's diversity through four chapters: GIADA Talks, GIADA Workshops, GIADA Portraits and GIADA Cheers, aiming at providing women “a new window" in life for new perspectives and inspirations.
GIADA Academy is a gathering of women who aspire to intellect and knowledge. Six well-known women from art, architecture, photography, fashion fields serve as keynote speakers, sharing their perspectives on feminine power. Art historian and writer Zhang Yuling uses paintings as an example to explore the relationship between gender gaze and feminism. Architect Qi Shanshan integrates her design into natural and social contexts, and a touch of femininity adds a sense of softness to architectural works. Artist Jiang Jie elaborates on female artists who have left a mark in the history of modern and contemporary art. Producer Chen Jie showcases the diversity of female actors and creators in today's entertaiment industry. Photographer Feng Yu uses one of her creative projects as the theme, triggering female viewers to think about the image they want in their own eyes and the image they want in the eyes of others. Xiao Xue, a senior media figure is the finale speaker, conveying an attitude of elegance as feminine power. As representatives of the diverse female landscape, the speakers show a profound and multi-layered meaning of femininity.
GIADA has also prepared experiential workshops for guests and speakers to explore a topic together and form mutual experiences. Different groupings such as photography, etiquette, jewelry, sculpture, oil painting, tailoring, etc. open up different horizons for guests to explore potential interests. The Academy truly takes the humanistic spirit of the Renaissance as its core, combines it with the design concept of the brand, and utilizes topics under art education to show the diversity of women and form a community. As a reflection of one's personality, fashion is a medium for GIADA to convey the brand ethos of Art to Art, which emphasizes a way of living that "life can be art itself".
GIADA women from various industries attend the event, including clients, cultural figures, fashion opinion leaders, as well as media guests. The first GIADA Academy, designed as a combination of branding event, cultural experience and social networking, is a pioneering attempt in the luxury industry and is a great start to the long-term serial event.
